Digital Fabrication Architect

Location: Rotterdam, the Netherlands

Studio RAP is looking for an experienced Digital Fabrication Architect to join our team in Rotterdam.
In this role, you will work at the intersection of computational design and robotic fabrication, contributing to ambitious international architectural projects in ceramic.

You will collaborate closely with architects, ceramic specialists, and robot operators to translate complex design intent into precise, buildable ceramic elements.
This role requires both strong digital skills and a deep understanding of making.

The role

• Work on high-end architectural projects worldwide, from concept to production.
  
• Develop complex, producible geometries using Rhino and Grasshopper.
  
• Prepare and optimize fabrication data for industrial robots and large-scale 3D printing.
  
• Act as the link between digital design and physical production.
  
• Contribute to the continuous development of our fabrication workflows.
  

Your profile

• 5+ years of experience in digital fabrication and or 3D printing.
  
• Strong skills in parametric design using Rhino and Grasshopper.
  
• Proven ability to translate complex geometry into production-ready data.
  
• Hands-on mindset with a strong understanding of materials and fabrication.
  
• Fluent in English, Dutch is a plus.
  
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
